    Every polish created at Snacker Lacquer is hand mixed and hand poured with high quality polish-making ingredients. Our nail polishes are not and never will be tested on animals. We always list all the ingredients of each polish page for full disclosure (excluding prototypes).

  • Pre-loved Packaging

    To reduce our carbon footprint, we try to use pre-loved packaging when we can. That means your order may arrive in a box that looks different than the box your previous order came in. The polishes may be wrapped in pre-loved paper, etc.

  • Woman-Owned and Love For All

    Snacker Lacquer is a woman-owned and founded venture. We, as a brand, support all races, religions, genders, and the LGBTQIA+ community. We love every being.

    We are a very small, online business operating in the State of Michigan. Over 90% of the materials we use are sourced from within the United States.

Meet the Snacker

Hey Snackers,

I’m Leah, the OG snacker that started Snacker Lacquer. I’ve dreamt of starting this brand for many years and in 2025, it finally became a reality. I was on the hunt for a nail polish that reminded me of a potato for the longest time, so I decided to make it myself! I’ve been a long-time lover of indie polish and have been painting my nails regularly since middle school. It all started with using my mom’s OPI and Essie shades, which eventually turned into hoarding Sinful Colors as a broke college student. I discovered indie polish through Polish Pickup in 2019 and became instantly obsessed. I started my own nail-based Instagram account (@leahs.lacquer) in 2023, which introduced me to so many more indie nail polish brands.

When I'm not working my 8-5 job or working on anything Snacker Lacquer-related, you can find me doing one of these many things: reading a book, playing Stardew Valley, gardening, researching random crap, jigsaw puzzles, doom scrolling, painting my nails, hanging with my husband and my two cats, at a restaurant, eating lots of candy, the list goes on and on. I get bored very easily...I blame my ADD and the fact that I'm a Sagittarius with a Gemini Moon.

Behind the Name

Those who know me in real life know that this name for my brand makes sense. "Snacker" is a nickname my husband gave me when we were dating because, well, I snack a lot. My vanity license plate, my Pokémon Go username, and my farm name in Stardew Valley are all related to my love of snacking. My husband bought me an apron that says "Hash Sneakin' Snacker" during our first year of dating and now I wear it when I mix polishes for Snacker Lacquer. The name Snacker Lacquer just sounds good and it represents my love for food. I also love that so many people can relate to and bond over the topic of food. There's going to be a polish name or color that you connect with due to its possible reference to your favorite snack!
